How to use this tool
  • SexChoose male or female so the correct Navy equation is applied.
  • UnitsPick Metric (cm, kg) or Imperial (in, lb). Input prompts update to match your choice.
  • WeightEnter your scale weight using the selected units.
  • HeightMeasure your height and enter it in centimeters or inches.
  • NeckWrap the tape just below the Adam's apple and record the circumference.
  • Waist (navel)Measure around your natural waistline at the level of the navel while standing relaxed.
  • HipOnly needed for the female formula. Measure the widest point around the glutes; leave blank if you're using the male equation.

Measure at the thickest points: neck just below the larynx, waist at the navel, hips around the widest glute point. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
